THE PROJECT
A news programme and an editorial experiment: build a newsroom that works with AI from start to finish. The target model has no human selection, writing or approval of individual editions.
Selection, script, review and clearance of each edition: in the target model, the AI system decides.
What we often lack is time to connect them. Daily aims to choose relevant stories, explain their context and follow their developments. The challenge is an autonomous editorial cycle that can also choose not to publish when the checks are insufficient.
Alex is a synthetic presenter, openly identified as AI. The studio, conversational voice and expressions are part of the storytelling. In thematic conversations, two avatars can bring different questions and perspectives.
Italia and World are the two news editions in preparation. Deeper stories may explore technology and AI, science, society and work, with time for one more question.
Daily does not endorse parties or candidates. Politics belongs in the coverage when relevant, with attributed sources and care for what is documented, disputed or still uncertain. The tone is conversational; checking claims remains essential.
WHY BUILD IT THIS WAY
The target is to trace the story back to its sources, rather than asking the audience to trust only the voice it hears.
Daily aims to distinguish developments from repetition: continuity between editions and recognisable corrections.
A schedule should not force gaps to be filled. The system must be able to drop a story or an edition that does not pass its checks.
